 NGC Provides 200 Million Leones (Old Money) to the Families of late Mrs. Yumkella.

The National Grand Coalition Party has on Wednesday, 13th July 2022 paid an official visit to the families of the late Mrs. Philomena Veronica Nyanga Yumkella who sadly passed away on the 26th June 2022 to sympathize and console them in this difficult moment.

Mrs. Philomena Veronica Nyanga Yumkella whom the highest has called to his kingdom was the wife of the Parliamentary Leader of the NGC party in Parliament. The late Mrs. Yumkella was known to be the mother of NGC but was also widely known to be the Mother of many Sierra Leoneans. The philanthropic and humanitarian work Mrs. Yumkella accomplished during her lifetime is one that epitomizes who she is and embodies her true nature. She was known as a philanthropist. 

The sudden demise of Mrs. Yumkella came as a shock to each and every NGC member and her passing away means a lot to the party as "She is the Soul of the Soul." Late Mrs. Yumkella's contribution to the NGC Party is immense, the impacts she created for the NGC party will forever live on. 

It is on that basis that, the general membership of the NGC party has been mourning and celebrating her life. The NGC party, through its leadership from all structures, formally on Wednesday, 13th July 2022 paid a visit to the families (Yumkellas and Nicholas) in order to express their solidarity and support to them in this moment of grief. The National Chairman and Leader, Dr. Dennis Bright describe Mrs. Yumkella as the "Bridge that will end any dispute we use to have in the party. Her facial expressions alone, is enough to restore calmness in you," Dr. Bright remarked. 

The Chairman of the NGC North America Region, Mr. Omar Jabbie said, they are saddened to be there in such manner, but says, it us Gods, will, and must not be questioned. He called on Dr. Kandeh Yumkella, to be strong and courageous and called on everybody to continue praying for Dr. KKY.

The National Secretary General of the NGC, Alhaji Amadu Sheriff announced that, the NGC Party is donating the sum of 200 Million Leones (Old Notes) to the families as "we all prepare to pay the final respect to our fallen heroine. 

Senior members of the NGC Party were gathered at the compound of the Yumkella Family and offered prayers for the soul of the late Mrs. Philomena Veronica Nyanga Yumkella to rest in perfect peace. 

The event was climaxed by photo ops and sharing of fond memories of the late Mrs. Yumkella.
